The 3M IV Kit for Peripheral Lines is meant for IV site care of peripheral devices and safe & secure catheter placement The kit has 4 items: Latex free tourniquet Chlorhexidine Gluconate (CHG) swab Tegaderm 1633 dressing (transparent film dressing with border)8.5cm * 7cm Sterile gauze swab The film is breathable thus allowing for moisture and oxygen exchange The CHG swab contains 2% CHG and 70% IPA (isopropyl alcohol) and is meant for prepping the insertion site The sterile gauze swab is used to handle any back flash from the site The latex free tourniquet is a single use device and meant for location of the vein The adhesive is latex free and hence hypoallergenic The dressing is conformable to the shape of the skin The 3M IV Kit is available in a standard packing of 20 kits per box
