A stunning specimen of a proximal end of a Pliosaur Propodial (limb bone), collected from Abingdon, Oxfordshire. The Liopleurodon is an extinct genus of carnivorous plesiosaurs that lived during from the mid to late Jurassic. These specimens in particular date to the Kimmeridgian. This is a large specimen, measuring around 4″ and weighing over 1200 grams. One side of this specimen has been cut and polished. It comes in a white card tray with an information label.
