Description 100% Woolly Bolas – small, lightweight wool balls When the carding machine runs backward, instead of producing nice smooth batts, it produces small wool balls. These woolly bolas are light and airy. While our wool batting would make an evenly smooth pillow, these bolas are able to be molded around a sleeper’s head to provide comfort where needed. Some manufacturers add polyester fibers to their bolas to bring costs down while still providing bulk.  Our bolas are 100% USA grown wool, nothing synthetic and no chemicals used to process them. They are soft, softer than shredded latex, much softer than the millet hulls.  Because the wool is in balls and can easily be fluffed, the bolas are our softest pillow fill. Upon receiving your shipment, do slightly fluff the bolas before filling pillow and do fluff finished pillow once a night before sleeping on it to maintain the light feeling. No fluffing means you may soon have a felted pillow.
